It's officially over. I haven't posted anything in awhile, because I can't anymore. There is too much awesome to post, and I don't want to do that. To entertain yourself indefinitely, please visit Reddit.com. For my final post, this. I found it on reddit.

Canadian Federal Election 2011: Conservative Majority
Just a few points and thoughts. The NDP split the vote and handed the majority to the Conservatives. Ironically, the sudden desire for socialism created the split that was instrumental in giving the Conservatives an otherwise out-of-reach majority.
Conservatives:
5 years is a long time, but the Cons need to make the most out of it. Every decision is going to be judged harshly, and this split vote scenario can't be relied upon to occur again. I predict Harper will be decisive and make some changes, such as selecting conservatives for the senate and strengthening the judicial system and victim's rights. I'm cautiously optimistic, and really hope things go well. Conservative voters tend to be very punitive, so bad ethics will result in zero support. The media tends to be anti-conservative anyway, so Harper will rely on positive press in the right-wing news sources to maintain popularity and support.
NDP:
The NDP made historic inroads, but they must make the most of these 5 years as well. Now that they have the spotlight they'll be able to make noise, but unless they can find common ground with the Cons or find a resonating issue to focus on, they will just bark into the wind. Also, the NDP is very pro union, so without suggesting there are occurrences of corruption in unions that can sometimes be described as somewhat rampant. This said, there are likely other skeletons in Layton's closet that can be just as damaging as getting caught in a Rub N Tug raid 15 years ago. Side note: I would have loved to see him admit what he did, and champion the cause for personal liberty (legalized prostitution).
Liberals:
Mark my words, the Liberals will be back. I predict the Layton massage parlour fiasco will be given a magnifying glass, as well as a bunch of other shady deals he's made. Since he is the face of the party, damaging his reputation will bring liberal support back to the Liberals. Bold Prediction: Due to health or "health", as in using that as an excuse to cover for other pressure, Layton will not be the NDP leader come the next election.
Green:
Elizabeth May did better than anyone thought she would, and she finally won a seat she'll have for 5 years. I think this is good, because if nothing else it's a token voice for environmentalism. She'll be able to suggest rainbows and unicorns, but nobody has to listen to her. This also means there will definitely be a green party rep included in the official debate next year. She has also just cemented her role as the next David Suzuki. She could peddle this into a very lucrative career.
Bloc Quebecois:
Wiped out to fringe status, hopefully for good.
Conclusion:
The next 5 years are going to be very exciting, hopefully in mostly good ways. China may finally use its military might to influence global relations so I'm happy we'll have a Conservative to effectively negotiate. There will be a lot of fighting between the Liberals and the NDP, since the Libs want their power back and are very crafty politically with many ties in many circles. They will leak to the press and constantly attack the NDP to make them look like amateurs. I don't know exactly how likely it would be, but I could see a break from retirement for Jean Chretien. He still has charisma and chutzpa, and I think the Liberals under his banner could be surprisingly effective, retaining and improving on their current lacklustre relevance. I hope Harper does well...

Atlas Shrugged: The Movie
My favourite book of all time is now a movie. I'm not going to recommend this to anyone until I see it for myself, but I hope it does the book justice. Click HERE to go to the movie website, or HERE (or the picture) for the trailer.

Book Review: Reheated Cabbage by Irvine Welsh
Reheated Cabbage is a collection of short stories written at various times in Irvine Welsh's life. The stories are all very different from each other, but they seem to work perfectly as a series. I recommend this to anybody that is an IW fan as many of the familiar characters are included, although if you've only seen or read Trainspotting, then the only familiar character would be Begbie. But really, is that so bad? Fucking Francis 'Franco' Begbie at ehs mas fir christmas.Overall, I give this one a 5 out of 5 because every story was great. I felt like the stories also displayed the progression of Irvine Welsh's maturation as a writer.

God Damnit, I'm Socially Awkward
Not all of these are true to me, but enough are... The comments below are pretty funny too. Click HERE to view the entire article.
...going to a hairdresser is similar to going to a massage parlor, in that you're often being touched by someone of the opposite sex in a distinctly sexual way, but you're not allowed to think it's at all sexual. Getting your hair professionally shampooed and cut involves a whole lot of head-massaging and personal-space-invading. You're often straddling the hairdresser, and she's so comfortable that she barely realizes that, in many instances, her breasts are directly on your face, and there's literally nothing else you can think about. You don't want to do anything that might be misconstrued as sexual harassment while her boobs are at mouth level, so you stop breathing and completely freeze your face...
And I Don't Even Like Dance Music
This is actually pretty cool. Close your eyes every once in awhile while listening. I'd hate the song if I couldn't watch it being performed.
